Biography
African born Franz Black is an accomplished songwriter, singer and keyboard player. Influenced by the likes of Santana and the Police, his concept of songwriting has evolved into a new product that has been referred to by some as black magic. Singing from the tender age of six the vocal result of this artist comes out warm and crystal clear. 'The sole intention in producing my music is to make people happy' states Franz who has written two complete albums that have attained wide recognition from a mixture of audiences. While song writing and singing are his passion he attempts to make as much time as possible to play live and spends most of his time recording new material.
Franz's last album titled 'Sunshine girl' was featured on several radio stations including the BBC and contains 7 tracks that can be downloaded for a limited time only, from this website for personal use, completely free of cost. Tracks from the album which has been recorded in the UK have been mixed in New York and Los Angeles including two videos that have been filmed in Brazil and North Africa and can also be viewed on this website.
Recently Franz has been featured in a video to raise awareness about hungry children in the world. The song titled 'Where do you go' was filmed in the Western Sahara desert in North Africa. The video which has Franz singing the main vocals not only depicts the starving children who die for want of food but also the amount of food waste that exists in the West. Franz who has written the song is a keen supporter of the WFP,UNICEF,Save the Children and World Vision and his encounter and constant reminders of the suffering of little children have led him to write the song which can be viewed on several social networking websites.
